The people behind the manifesto represent a small fraction of the different types of people that practice design. We simply felt that we needed to start a conversation among the design community on how design plays a role within the context of our climate crisis.

We’d love to hear from you. We invite you to add your voice to this living document. Let this be a start of a more engaged conversation within the design industry.

Previous First Things First manifestos provided little to no supportive material after someone signed their name. This version is encouraging signers to visit climatedesigners.org to learn techniques, gather resources, and connect with communities committed to using their creative skills and voices for climate action. The site is a free hub for designers and creative professionals alike.
